The architectural designers have selected LOPO terracotta baguette sunscreen 50X50mm. Those baguettes are vertically installed to extend the vertical lines of low-rise buildings. Terracotta baguette makes the building seem looming, acts as sunshade, and to some extent reduces the real-object sense conveyed by the building in general. So that terracotta baguette is useful and beautiful. Terracotta baguette is installed in some angles according to the needs of sunshade and facade structure, making the whole facade full of vivid and interesting sense of linear lines.

LOPO Facade Brick Project- Jiadu Kindergarden

This project is located in Sanhe Yanjiao Jiadu, which is in a nearly 20,000 square meters of large residential communities and very close to Beijing. The construction area is nearly 5500 square meters that can accommodate 540 students. It is a jointly design by US OBRA Architectural and China Architectural Design Group. It will start enroll students from the fall of 2017.

The main building entrenched in the north of the area, which is a concrete building wrapped by LOPO wall bricks. The building plane can be seen as a section of the arch, facing an activity space which is surrounded by a local trees planted garden. The huge venue between the building and the garden is the soul and focus of the entire basement layout.

The building achieve the ultimate fresh and simple style through a unified facade window size. The homogeneous facade creates a background that contrasts out the open space stair and the platform in series. By the usage of the path between outdoor space and the classroom, it created a very interesting space order. 

The huge amount of buildings was reduced to many smaller body blocks, which make people feel less sense of body weight, and the distant public buildings have become cordial at the same time . Children can get a cordial appointment experience in public buildings.

This project was awarded the 2014 AIANY Project Merit and 2014 Kim Swoo Geun Priview and was invited to the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2016.

The production for customized design of clay facade bricks is not an easy job. Each brick has to be made by hand after the extrusion work. How to keep Terracotta Panel cleaning?

On the terracotta panel surface natural texture, there is a certain degree of permeability, if stained on the stains need to be promptly removed to avoid infiltration of panel inside.

1. Pencil, ballpoint pen, impermeable oil can be used to erase the eraser;

2. Slag, rust can be soaked with white vinegar wipe with water;

3. Other colored pollution can be soaked with 84 disinfectant wipe with water.

4. After completed installation of each panel, remove the debris from the site, until the entire project is installed before the clean-up site and temporary facility, use cotton and nylon brush on the board from the top and bottom wipe clean.

Before 2006, there is only one indoor gymnasium and outdoor stadium, people affectionately name it the “light stadium.” With the improvement of public fitness needs, Zhoushan City Sports Bureau launched a national fitness center construction, in order to provide more convenience to the people, and decided to take the original site reconstruction. After 8y ears, a modern fitness center came out.

According to Zhoushan City National Fitness Center Director Yu Yuehui’s introduction, the total investment for the centeris more than 20 million yuan. Zhoushan City is the first in accordance with national standards for the construction of modern sports fitness comprehensive museum. The building area is 6,000 square meters, from 3rd floor to 5th floor there are specific area for basketball, volleyball, badminton, squash, tennis,swimming, wrestling and other activities venues, which will be used to carryout games, sports competitions, performances and other activities.

Lopo Developed A New Production Method For Terracotta Louvers To Be Covered On A Arc Wall Surface

We all know that terracotta panel can be used in arc structure building. But the traditional installation was affected by the radius of the arc. Because people use the flat surface panels to cover on the arc wall. When the radius is more than 3 meter, Installation direction can be either vertical or horizontal. Adjust the angle of facade terracotta panel connection can be achieve arc. By adjusting the joint angle between two panels, it is easy to achieve the circular-arc-shape. The ceramic panels are using vertical fixing method when the radius of the building arc is less than 3 meters.

However, this installation method always can not meet designer’s ideal concept. LOPO technician team focus on saving this problem for a long time. Since the production lines upgraded, they developed a new method for arc wall construction.

How to Increase the Safety of Using Terracotta Plates on High-Rise Building?

It is very common that having a mesh on the back of stone slate. Because crevices are distributed widely in the natural stone materials and affect the performance of the rock. Rainscreen plates normally do not have such problem. But if damaged by a heavy heating, the panels may broken in several pieces, which will be dangerous when using in a high-rise building.

2. Cover the installation grooves on the back

3. Cover the glass fiber reinforced mesh on the panels

4. Pull the special adhesive on the mesh

5. Evenly spread the adhesive make sure corners all covered

 
6. Cut the extra mesh after adhesive dry completely.
